Gezichten by Kaweh Modiri has been selected for production within the One Night Stand series.
The film is about Milad who finds himself in a mental labyrinth after leaving behind his girlfriend during a frantic pursuit in the park.
Kaweh Modiri’s previous film Bodkin Ras premiered at IFFR and won the FIPRESCI Award in Rotterdam and in Vienna.
BALDR Film produced Horizon (winner Dutch Academy Award Best TV Drama) and In Exile (winner Dutch Academy Award Best Actress) in the previous round of One Night Stand.
One Night Stand offers ‘new’ directors and screenwriters the opportunity to make a 45-minutes single play. The project is an initiative of broadcasters NTR, VARA and VPRO, Dutch Cultural Media Fund, Netherlands Film Fund and CoBO.
